Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. –Philippians 2:2
Read the whole passage in Philippians 2:1-11
Relationships are work. Differences surface, arguments come, disagreement and fighting seem a constant threat. Being of one mind does not erase friction or conflict. It means that when differing views or desires erupt in a relationship, love wins out. Humbleness reminds us that we do not know everything and we might be wrong. Forgiveness teaches us that if Jesus forgave us for everything, then we can forgive each other for a few things. Unity calls us to remember that we are children of the same God and servants in the same kingdom. Wrapped together, practiced consistently, and held dear, these acts create love. Is love the basis of your relationships?
